SEASONAL POSITIONS
Haunted Events Actor:
Actors work on the haunted hayride or the haunted hedge maze to scare guests while in costume. Actors work on Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays in October from 6:45 until the event ends, typically around 10pm. Actors are not required, or guaranteed to work every day of the event. Scheduling will be determined after orientation based on availability.
- Must be able to perform their job in outdoor conditions, in the dark, with may include activities such as running, climbing, and/or acting
- Must do their job with enthusiasm and follow the guidelines set forth by Colonial Gardens as part of a safe and satisfying entertainment event
- Must be at least 16 years old by October 1st (no exceptions, as per PA labor laws)
- Must be able to pass a background check if 18 years and older
- Must have reliable transportation and means of communication
Qualified applicants will receive a follow-up email with orientation information and employment paperwork. Pay rate varies by experience and skill set: $12-$16/hr.
Hayride Tractor Driver:
Tractor Drivers operate our antique tractors pulling our hayride wagons through our woods. Hayrides run daily from 10am to 4:30pm with special late night hours on weekends from 7pm to 9:30pm. This is a part time position with flexible hours. Drivers must be medically fit to drive the tractor, must have a valid PA driver’s license, be 18 years old or older, and be able to pass a short written and skills test as part of PA Dept. of Agriculture standards. Ideal candidates have prior experience driving large vehicles.
