COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

We believe in a very basic principle: when we thrive, our community should thrive. With this in mind, Colonial Gardens is deeply involved in the local community through gardening projects, community partners, and donations. Here are some of our favorite partners:

Colonial Gardens sign
Orion Communities logo

Orion Communities: Orion assists neighbors in the greater Phoenixville area who find themselves in financial distress, homeless or facing difficult life challenges.

Trellis for Tomorrow logo

Trellis for Tomorrow: Trellis is building resilient communities from the ground up. We provide services and programs for youth of all ages to ensure our community has meaningful work, dynamic relationships, and healthy land.

PACS logo

Phoenixville Area Community Services: Since 1972, Phoenixville Area Community Services has been dedicated to helping people get through difficult or challenging periods in their lives. Emergency assistance is provided through food distribution and Information & Referral services that help get our clients back on their feet.

Ann's Heart

Ann’s Heart: Ann’s Heart is working to create places of welcome in the Phoenixville community to ensure low-barrier access to critical resources and human services.

Mosaic community land trust

Mosaic Community Land Trust: Mosaic Community Land Trust provides permanently affordable housing and healthy living choices to people of modest means and, through education and participation, creates a vital community with a focus on arts and culture to stabilize neighborhoods and improve the quality of life in Pottstown.

In addition to these organizations, Colonial supports dozens of local fundraisers every year.

Due to the number of requests and limitations in our staffing, we ask that fundraising requests be made either in person, over the phone, or submitted by email. As a rule, we will no longer be providing gift cards or merchandise to fundraisers solicited through the mail or our Contact Us page. If you have a request for a partnership or donation, please make sure to provide the following information:

  • The name of the organization you represent and a brief description of your mission
  • What event or cause you are fundraising for (i.e. a basket raffle,
  • What you are requesting from us (a gift card, merchandise, help planning, services)
  • Any supporting documentation (a webpage, a flyer, etc.)

As a general rule of thumb, we limit donations to nonprofits and community organizations rather than individuals. If you are a local community member who needs assistance, we recommend checking out our partners listed above.
